Abram's Miracle

‘Twas several weeks after Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even the goliath hirsute rain spiders that rendezvous above our kitchen sink window. (Really, these things make your average tarantula look liliputian.) It was a peaceful breezy Saturday morning when all of a sudden there arose such a clatter…it was Abram AuChamp revving his weed wacker just outside our (open) bedroom window. After being rudely awakened from our slumber, I peered through the curtains to see Abram pulling out this massive dinosaur of a lawn mower. My initial irritation subsided and I just sat amazed that this is the same guy who was virtually a vegetable three months ago after a severe stroke (see Snap for Abram, Oct. 3 '05). It is honestly hard to believe the speed and complete nature of his recovery. We have told him and Elsabe, our landlords, how we have prayed for them and that we attribute his miraculous healing to God and other’s prayers. Even the doctors told them that it was a miracle. Thank you for those who prayed, and praise God that he is mighty to save. When you think of us sweating in bed trying to sleep in on a Saturday morning remember our landlords, the AuChamps, and ask God to reveal himself to them.
