A-Love

Meet Agnes Zantsi (and her youngest, the stunning Vuyiseka--there's another whole story), freedom-fighter and anti-apartheid activist and now super-mom (7 adopted and foster kids at home). Agnes lives in Philippi, near St. Paul's church with whom we partner. Each Tuesday we have our committee meetings in Agnes' home. Agnes is a champion for the children of Philippi--they all know they can get a good meal and cuddles in her home. Agnes has persistent health problems and is currently dealing with some heavy issues. She is still struggling with the rape and murder of her 2 year-old grand-niece several weeks ago. Also, she was just told this weekend that there are no more funds left to pay her disability grant. She's worried that the government may not renew it--or that it could take a long time. Pray for Agnes--that Social Services would renew her disability grant immediately, that she would have the sustained strength to continue to love and bless all the children in her care, that God would give her and her sister's family peace and healing in the wake of the heinous rape/murder. Agnes is a huge inspiration to us and a "spear" for her community. Plus, she loves to snuggle her face into your neck when you hug her--we like to call it "A-love".
